Revisionist History is Malcolm Gladwell's journey through the overlooked and the misunderstood. Every episode re-examines something from the past—an event, a person, an idea, even a song—and asks whether we got it right the first time. From Pushkin Industries. Also see Star Trek TNC for more on face blindness
5d ago
I have been a long time listener of this show and enjoy how it makes me think, even at times I do not 100% agree. Revisionist recently did an ep on Face Blindness which immediately made me think of another podcast. Star Trek: the next conversation (5/5⭐️) is the best podcast about start trek. Also about nothing and everything else at the same time. One of the hosts also believes they have face blindness. So if you want literally hundreds (if not thousands) of hours of excellent content to listen to, including frequent mention of face blindness for a case study… ST: TNC is for you!
Loved Face Value Ep!!!

This new Face Value episode with Malcolm and his producer Lucie Sullivan is AMAZING! I found it fascinating. Can’t wait for more episodes with Lucie!
As Good as the Books

Gladwell always impresses me, in everything he creates, with a clarity, flow and incisiveness that makes one first despair of trying to write, and then go inspired to imitate his example. Bravo
Another phrase to retire

Listening to Malcolm and John ending on phrases that must be purged I’ve always been keenly aware when someone uses the phrase “Just so you know…” you might as well say “I’m going to start speaking now…” superfluous embodied!!

This guy is about as good as you can get!!!
Thoughtful

I love the thoughtful, reasonable analysis of some difficult topics. I love the respect given to guests without pandering. I LOVE the unapologetic hair.
A biased erudite reporting
Apr 25
A lot of effort is put into the stories so that their sources give credibility to their biases. They rarely cover the alternate view. This is an example why trust in journalism is so low.
Propaganda
Apr 26
Just more propaganda from the usual suspects.
Old vs New
Apr 24
I miss the old Malcom who fairly gave both sides and let the listener/reader decide. Now there’s an agenda…just like the masses.
Who said Joe Rogan is a Journalist
Apr 24
Just listened to your podcast critical of Joe Rogan - I was really surprised, you said you listened occasionally to his podcast. I started listening a few months ago and don’t always listen all the way through if the subject isn’t interesting to me. I listen because I want to know what his guests think and occasionally that is what I hear. But you were surprised and disappointed because you expected him to interview like a journalist? He would be the last person to claim to be anything that he isn’t, he’s a comedian and an actor…. he interviews people he likes or wants to learn more about. Who are you anymore Malcolm? As someone who used claim RH was my favorite podcast…. I’ve listened to every episode. You used to be good but now you seem to have left your critical analysis skills behind - I hope you can regain your inquisitive mind again.
